Garden Maintenance

Gardens that don’t put tenants off

A scrappy garden costs you viewings. Prospective tenants drive past, see the front, and don’t even bother coming inside. Investors knock thousands off offers when the back garden looks like a project. The fix is regular, low-cost maintenance — not heroic restoration.

Regular maintenance

For let properties with gardens, we recommend either a fortnightly visit (April through October) or a monthly visit year-round. Each visit covers lawn cutting and edging, hedge trimming if needed, weed control on paths and beds, and removal of any leaves or debris. Green waste is taken away on the same visit.

Pre-letting and pre-sale makeovers

If a garden has been neglected and needs bringing back to a presentable standard, we’ll quote a one-off makeover. Typical scope: lawn restoration, overgrown hedge cuts back to manageable height, weed kill on paths, beds re-edged, debris cleared. Most overgrown gardens come back to lettable standard in a single day’s work.

Outside spaces, not just gardens

We also handle communal areas for HMOs and small blocks: bin store maintenance, path edging, planters, and the small bits of green space that no one else takes responsibility for. Often included in property management contracts at no extra charge.
